Proms on the Wicket
Guernsey's Proms has been staged since 2005.
The incredibly popular finale to the Guernsey summer is an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of musical talent we have in Guernsey as well as to enjoy the wonderful tradition of the Last Night of the Proms.
The event has been staged in a number of locations with its main home being Proms on the Pier on the Albert Pier. For various reasons the event has also been held on Crown Pier, Havelet Bay and Market Square and has now found a new home at the KGV as Proms on the Wicket.
The event features a first half of live music from local musicians followed by the live broadcast of the BBC coverage of the second half of the Last Night of the Proms live from the Albert Hall. In 2021 the event was extended into the afternoon with films being shown on the big screen and the addition of a range of children's entertainment.
